Stalk & Stem Floral Design launched in January 2021 as a creative outlet that quickly grew into a boutique floral studio serving the Waco community and beyond.
SHORT STORY: For her 23rd birthday — in the midst of the pandemic — she gathered with her closest friends in Austin to celebrate. It had been at least eight months to a year since they all saw each other, to make it extra special she decorated each room with a small arrangement to make it seem like home. They loved it and thought it was a gift left by the owner of the Air BNB!
For Kennedy, florals always invited a sense of comfort and beauty into whatever space they are in, and she experienced firsthand how they can impact the feeling in a room. The name Stalk & Stem came from a small arrangement she made that weekend consisting of two eucalyptus stalks and a stem of baby’s breath.
Stalk & Stem specializes in creating bright, whimsical, and airy designs featuring blooms from local growers when available. When you support Stalk & Stem, you are also supporting our local Black-owned, POC-owned, and women-owned business partners in the community.
